The all-new GX features a highly capable and efficient twin-turbocharged 3.4L V6 engine paired with a 10-speed-Direct Shift automatic transmission. This engine has been engineered to produce an impressive 349 horsepower 1 and 479 lb-ft of torque 1 all while providing smooth and steady power delivery both on- and off-road. And for GX Premium, Premium+ and Overtrail grades equipped with the standard tow hitch, towing capacity has increased to 8,000 pounds. 6
This is the capability that continues to make the GX the stuff of legend. The 2024 GX is equipped with full-time 4WD, as well as a Torsen® 7 limited-slip center differential with locking feature, for consistent responsiveness across a wide variety of terrains. And GX Overtrail grades feature an electronic locking rear differential for maximum traction in off-road driving. GX Overtrail grades also offer Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control 8 and Adaptive Variable Suspension systems for optimal handling capabilities, along with an Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System for improved wheel articulation.
For added performance over challenging terrain, the GX Overtrail grades come equipped with meaty 33-inch all-terrain tires. Not only were these tires selected exclusively for the Lexus Overtrail grades, these are also the largest standard tires ever fitted to a Lexus.
