What is a Kaur Fine Art custom portrait?

Kaur Fine Art is owned and operated by Gurpreet Kaur in Martinez, California. Gupreet is a professionally trained artist specializing in portrait photography, with a specific focus on luxury family portraits. She was awarded ‘Le Prix du Lieutenant Governor’ in Quebec, for high achievement in the arts and academic excellence.

Having been inspired by her travels throughout Europe where she had the opportunity to visit some of the world’s most prestigious art galleries including the National Portrait Gallery in London, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence and the Louvre Museum in Paris, among several others, Gurpreet and her team are proud to bring a similar, sophisticated and elegant approach directly into her clients’ homes.

How are Kaur Fine Art portraits created?

As the principal artist, Gurpreet offers her clients two distinct finishes. The first is the “Masterpiece Portrait” which her studio is known for. This rare process creates a unique and treasured portrait that resembles a time-honored painting. The painting adds depth in the shadows and more detail in the highlights. These art pieces are available at 30” and above and depending upon the size and level of detail desired, can take up to three to five months to complete.

The second finish is the “Legacy Canvas” which is a photographic finish for their art pieces. Captured in her studio during your portrait session, Gurpreet and her team work by hand to give it a look that is soft and subtle, yet genuine and realistic, all of which start at 10” and up. This, like all of their portraits and frames, follows strict archival procedures similarly done by museums to ensure the longevity of the artwork.

How do I redeem a Lexus of Concord gift certificate for my portrait?

We invite our customers to please contact the Kaur Fine Art studio at 925-385-8615 or at info@kaurhouseofportraits.com within 10 days of receiving their gift certificate to protect it against loss or theft. Once validated, recipients have an additional 5 months to complete their portrait session with Kaur House of Portraits.
