As a best-selling luxury SUV, the model is expected to raise the bar regarding advanced technology – delivering its best in safety. Join us at Lexus of Concord in Concord, CA, as we learn more about the excellent safety features of the 2023 Lexus NX SUV in this blog post.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0

Lexus delivers promising safety and protection to all passengers in the 2023 NX with the standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which rises to the challenges the competition raises rather well. It features All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management and Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Intersection Support to monitor and detect vehicles approaching ahead at multiple angles. Optional Digital Key on NX 350h and NX 450h+ models make vehicle access and parking a five-finger exercise.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 adds advanced safety features such as:

  • Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist
  • Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection/Braking
  • Right/Left Turn Oncoming Pedestrian Detection/Braking
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management

The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 also includes the current safety features for NX:

  • Road Sign Assist – provides select road sign information on the instrument panel or in the Head-Up Display using a built-in camera.
  • Pre-Collision System – engineered to help detect a vehicle or pedestrian in the path of your Lexus under certain conditions.
  • Lane Departure Alert w/Steering Assist – designed to provide an audible alert if an unintended lane departure is detected.
  • Intelligent High Beam – gives greater visibility for drivers with added illumination when the road ahead is clear while temporarily switching to low beams upon detecting the headlamps or taillamps of the approaching vehicles.
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control – uses radar and camera technology to help the driver maintain a preset speed and follow distance from the vehicle ahead.

While exiting from the 2023 NX, the standard Digital Latch and Safe Exit Assist give each occupant protection from vehicles or bicycles approaching from the rear. Moreover, the optional Digital Mirror provides a clear view of obstacles behind the vehicle.
